Dear Camper Parent:
We have received your child's registration for the 2009 Fantasy Camp and we are looking forward to another week of hot fun in the sun. There are several very important items to be addressed for this year's camp. Please carefully review the information below:
1. The camp has a slightly different schedule this year:
Monday- Thursday, June 22-25, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. You will drop off and pick up your child at the St. Peters Rec Plex South Campus, though the camp will still utilize the fields behind St. Peters City Hall. Please pick up your child at 1:00 p.m. each day.
Friday, June 26, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (awards will take place between 1:00-2:00 p.m.) at T.R. Hughes Ballpark. Please pick up your child at 2:00 p.m.
Optional Extended Day -Swimming on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at St. Peters Rec Plex-Main Campus. Please pick up your child at 3:00 p.m.
Optional Extended Day -Hockey on Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at St. Peters Rec Plex-Main Campus. Please pick up your child at 3:00 p.m.
2. Your child should check-in between 8:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Monday-Thursday at the Registration Table located upstairs at the St. Peters Rec Plex South Campus AND between 8:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. on Friday at the T.R. Hughes Ballpark main entrance gate. Each child should bring a labeled baseball glove to the camp; any equipment brought should be clearly marked with the child's name. For safety reasons, no baseball bats should be brought to the camp; we will provide bats at the appropriate stations. A nametag will be provided daily and must be worn at all times. In addition, a full uniform will be provided (excluding shoes - tennis shoes, please) and must be worn each day of the camp. For extended days, please bring a bag with appropriate attire (swim wear/towel for Tuesday and warm clothes for Thursday). Area restaurants will serve lunches and snacks daily. Lunch will end at 1:00 p.m. (Please note: we must know of any food allergies! When you check in, please leave that information with Registration).
3. The Camp is not a forum for deaf education debate; therefore, please refrain from any deaf education discussion with other parents/volunteers/children. We ask this so that the camp will be an enjoyable and comfortable atmosphere for all involved.
4. Without sponsors, this camp would not be possible. Please patronize any sponsor that you see at the camp and tell them how much you appreciate their support.
5. Celebrities will be visiting the camp during the week. The celebrities are here for the kids, so please do not approach the celebrities for autographs. The camp will do its best to see that the campers leave with celebrity autographs. Taking advantage of the celebrities may jeopardize the possibility of them returning.
Make plans to attend the camp on Friday! The children will be playing games. Awards ceremony will follow at approximately 1:00 p.m.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the camp. In the meantime, if you have questions, please e-mail us at carih@dasasports.org or call 636.477.0716
